As the time of year when ghosts reunite with their loved ones approaches, Cat must figure out how to put aside her fears for her sister's sake, and her own. Raina Telgemeier has masterfully created a moving and insightful story about the power of family and friendship, and how it gives us the courage to do.

Ghosts doesn't have the realism of either Smile or Sisters, but it doesn't manage to reach the charming humor of Drama, either. There isn't much humor aside from brief moments.

Unfortunately, this book doesn't hit hard emotionally either. The family relationships and characters here aren't developed enough, making this book ultimately unmemorable/5. Wonderful, wonderful. I was hoping to somehow remember the name of a series and simply entered ‘mysteries with ghosts’ and up came this site.

Antonia Barber's delightful and atmospheric ghost story (or perhaps, more of a time slip novel, as the supposed departed spirits in The Ghosts are actually time travelling children, two British siblings from the past, and also two British siblings from the present) was one of the first full-length children's novels I read entirely in English (in the autumn ofa school library book that /5.

While Cat is the worrier in the family, chronically ill Maya is an irrepressible optimist, her zest captured in Brand: Turtleback Books. In this book, Roger Clarke explores many of the world's most famous hauntings, believers, and skeptics, including everything from Harry Houdini to ghost hunting technology to haunted WWI submarines. The Ghosts is a novel written by Antonia Barber in It was shortlisted for the Carnegie was filmed in as The Amazing Mr Blunden with Laurence Naismith as Mr Blunden and Diana Dors as Mrs Wickens.
